Job DescriptionPosition Summary Safely and effectively lead and provide direction to a crew or team on a single job site to maximize profit margins and quality craftwork. Responsibilities --- Lead on various size projects --- Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project --- Manage the job site situations, maintain a safe working environment and be accountable for quality and productivity. --- Review plans and permits --- Establish daily crew goals --- Communicate with customer --- Assign job duties --- Monitor progress --- Evaluate Teammates' performance and provide coaching --- Perform Laborer and Equipment Operator requirements and responsibilities as needed --- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned Requirements --- Valid driver's license --- 2+ years related experience in utility construction --- Able to perform safe work practices daily --- Ability to communicate with Teammates and Customers --- Class A CDL is desired --- Must have experience running a crew --- Able to perform physically demanding tasks --- Strong mechanical skills --- Equipment operating experience --- Able to work some nights and weekends --- Ability to work outdoors --- Ability to read and write English --- Pass a drug screen and background check --- Able to stand, kneel and work in confined spaces for an extended period of time Working Conditions This job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting.
