Job Overview: As a Clinical Research Biller & Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and coding for clinical trials. You will be responsible for the proper documentation and coding of clinical procedures and services to facilitate timely billing and reimbursement processes. Your attention to detail and understanding of clinical research regulations will be essential in maintaining compliance and maximizing revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coding and Billing: Accurately code and bill clinical research services, procedures, and related activities in accordance with federal regulations, payer guidelines, and institutional policies.
• Documentation Review: Review clinical trial documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of all coding and billing entries.
• Collaboration: Work closely with clinical research coordinators, investigators, and finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on coding and billing regulations specific to clinical research, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer guidelines.
• Claims Management: Prepare, submit, and follow up on claims for reimbursement, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Training: Provide training and support to clinical research staff on proper coding and billing practices.
• Reporting: Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in the billing process.
