Weekly Hours:40Summary:Reporting to the Public Relations manager,
the Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for developing
and executing Cook Children's Health Care System's social media
strategy. This role involves managing Cook Children's social media
pages, creating engaging content, monitoring online conversations,
and analyzing performance metrics.This position is responsible for
generating positive exposure that enhances the reputation and name
recognition of Cook Children's through social media with a goal of
achieving superior audience engagement, newsroom website traffic
and possible revenue by exploiting all aspects of the social media
market. The proper candidate must keep the public informed and be
sensitive to the needs, attitudes and opinions of the Cook
Children's audience.This person will shoot and edit photos and
videos, create graphics, write content and interview patients,
families and staff members for Cook Children's social media
channels. The candidate should be familiar with Adobe Photoshop,
Premiere Pro, Express and/or other similar editing software, as
well as social media listening and benchmarking tools.Reporting to

relations, communications, marketing or related field and a t least
two years of experience in communications, social media, PR,
marketing required. Proven working experience in social/digital
