Job Description:
Position Summary:
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a
superior customer and sales experience alongside the Difenda C3
delivery and Revenue teams. You will maintain a strong
understanding of Difenda services, ensuring that underpinning
solutions and processes are clearly articulated to potential and
current customers. You will support the C3 operations team through
internal training and participating in customer sessions. Key sales
support activities include the delivery of customer demonstrations,
solution proposals, service agreements, and marketing content. You
will participate in developing Difenda's service roadmap by
capturing customer needs and maintaining key technical
certifications. You possess technical and IT security domain
expertise and have strong business acumen, helping to ensure that
customer solution needs are addressed, while minimizing the need
for Difenda technical subject matter expertise support. Hours of
work are Monday to Friday - 7.5 hours daily or as required, with
after-hours support provided as required.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work with the C3 team and customers to support customer
interactions, educate customers, collect feedback, and understand
operational processes, procedures, and technologies used to deliver
services.
- Provide technical sales support, including but not limited
to:
- The delivery of customer demonstrations for managed service
offerings.
- Development of high-level customer solutions / engagements and
pricing.
- Development of Statement of Work (SOW) agreements.
- Development of customer proposals, including Request for
Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) requests.
- Development of other support sales artifacts including but not
limited to slide decks, product quotes, etc.
- Support partnership management activities, including
understanding technical partnership requirements, obtaining
required certifications, etc.
- Continuously stay informed of service offerings, service
roadmaps and ongoing service enhancements.
- Participate in service roadmap sessions, ensuring that
information captured during customer sales discussions is
represented in service backlogs and development
activities.
- Maintain industry certifications and related training to remain
current with service-related core technologies.
- Provide marketing support through involvement in content
development, including web, blog, social media, and webinar
material.
- Deliver service-related webinars in conjunction with the
marketing and sales teams.
- Present service offering updates to internal team members,
including sales, technical and other supporting teams.
- Support marketing through content development (blogs,
one-pagers, product briefs, etc.) and participation in
webinars/videos.
- Develop and nurture relationships with Microsoft personnel
including technical subject matter experts, sellers and other
strategic parties.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of IT security operations or related work
experience.
- College Diploma or University Degree in Computer Engineering or
Computer Science preferred.
- Strong background in customer service and communications
required.
- Experience in service delivery, including the development of
proposals, RFx responses, master service and statement of works
agreements.
- Strong understanding of IT Security processes, including
Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Information Protection,
Configuration / Vulnerability Management, System Auditing /
Logging, and Identity and Access Management.
- One or more security or technology specific certifications
required, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 Security
Administration, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified
Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.
- Experience with the following IT Security Frameworks required:
SOC 2 Type II, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI
DSS), and ISO 27001 / 27002.
- Ability to work with internal teams, external customers and
vendors in a professional manner.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Lean, Scrum and
Kanban preferred.
- Strong sense of ownership and teamwork.
- Strong ability to communicate and document clearly and
effectively.
- Ability to follow processes and guidelines.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff.
- Ability to take personal initiative and observe
confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
